She has a BS in Accounting from Miami University and a MSW from the University of Cincinnati. She has past work experience in both business and clinical work with severely mentally ill and chemical dependency. Glenna Carroll, Pantry Director. Glenna started at the food pantry in January of 2006. She retired from the Animal Friends Humane Society where she was the manager there. Glenna worked there for 18½ years before coming to work at the food pantry. She is a mother of four, grandmother of nine, and the great-grandmother of two. She attends the Redeemer Church. You can usually find Glenna still working at the pantry long after everyone is gone. What a blessing she has been!

Elijah Balsbaugh, Office Manager/Property Manager. Elijah came to work at the shelter in 2009 as book keeper. Since that time he has grown to take on the responsibility of managing many different areas of Serve City. He graduated from Miami University in 2010 with a degree in management. He and his wife were married shortly after.  He has a background in sales and food service management. He believes God has called him to the work he is doing at Serve City as a way to expand God’s kingdom on this earth through love and personal relationships.

Christopher A. Terry, Chosen Staff. Chris joined the staff at Serve City in early 2010. He has a background in customer service and you will often find him using this to help the residents at Chosen feel safe, secure, and welcome.

Al Barnett, Choices Maintenance. Al began work at Serve City’s CHOICES apartments in early 2010.  He has an extensive background in maintenance service. He has a heart for his neighbors around him and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is treated fairly and with compassion.

Steve Sparks, Chosen Staff.  Steve has worked in many different recovery and treatment centers since becoming clean and sober 23 years ago. Steve was Pastor of Your Word is Truth Ministries for 5 years and worked for Hope House Shelter for nearly 10 years doing everything from front desk to Men’s Director. Steve has been a born again Christian since 1995 and has been an ordained minister since 2000.  Steve holds a Master’s Degree in life where he continues to attend.

Amy Davis, Chosen Staff.  Amy worked for over 10 years at a local pediatric hospital before budget cuts forced her to be laid off. This event caused a lot of struggle, which eventually ended with Amy living at Serve City for a period. Amy has used the lessons she learned in her pediatric work and at Serve City to move to stable housing and now she is a vital part of the Serve City team. Amy loves serving those living at the shelter and helping them get back on their feet.
